Planned Parenthood facilitates federally funded abortions

March 30th, 2011

Dear blog reader,

The irresponsible liberals, for the sanctity and protection of human life, in the senate worked hard to make sure that Planned Parenthood got fully funded again. This action is repulsive, especially in wake of the recent scandals which have shown the very deceptive nature of the people who direct and operate this sleazy organization that promotes and facilitates the terrible practice of abortion.

Again, a valiant effort was made by the house led by Mike Pence (R-Indiana), to defund this organization but it died in the US senate. But there is still hope. Please check out the article below that shows how the AUL, Americans United for Life, are still working hard to get the American tax payer out of the abortion business. We solute their valiant efforts to remedy this improper use of the hard earned money taken from the American tax payer for something the vast majority do not support (see below)!!! You might want to consider a donation to the UAL. Look them up on Google.

Please check out the details below for more of the story:

“This week, the U.S. Senate rejected the Continuing Resolution passed by the House, which cut the one-third of a billion dollars the federal government currently gives to the nation’s largest abortion provider: Planned Parenthood. The majority of the Senate is poised to add abortion dollars back to its version of the budget even after the House voted to cut such funding. While the matter failed in the Senate, the effort to cut funding to Planned Parenthood passed with bipartisan support in the House, through an amendment from Representative Mike Pence (R-IN) to the Fiscal Year 2011 Budget, to H.R. 1, the long-term Continuing Resolution.

But that is not the end of the matter.

As legislators wrestle with the fact that more than 70 percent of Americans – pro-life and pro-choice – do not want their tax dollars to pay for abortions, many are beginning to ask a key question: With more than $360 million tax dollars to spend, what does the abortion industry really do with the money?

To find out more at the state level, AUL,( Americans United for Life ), has produced and distributed Joint Resolutions calling for the investigation and defunding of Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers on a state and local level. And AUL has drafted model legislation that would require clinics to be regulated for the safety of the women who go there for services.

At the federal level, AUL has called on Congress to freeze Planned Parenthood’s currently-allocated federal funding and hold hearings to investigate Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers’ consistent disregard for women and girls’ health and safety and for the law.

AUL President and CEO Dr. Charmaine Yoest noted, “Planned Parenthood’s legacy is a sordid one of ruined lives and deceptive, politically-motivated actions. AUL is working hard to ensure Americans’ tax dollars do not line the pockets of an organization which has a pattern and practice of failing to safeguard women’s rights and health.”

Getting the American taxpayer out of the abortion business continues to be an AUL push as Congress looks for ways to cut the size and scope of government. To sign a letter to your member of Congress calling for an end to the federal funding of the Nation’s largest abortion provider, click here.

But Planned Parenthood and the abortion lobby will not go quietly.”

Obama's Admnistration's Insanely out of Control Budget Deficits

Now Check this out:

From the Grassfire Nation Update:

In February the Barack Obama-led federal government posted
the largest monthly deficit in U.S. history -- an amount
larger than the deficit for the entire year of 2007:

Federal budget deficit, February 2011: $223 Billion

Federal budget deficit, all of 2007: $160.7 Billion

Barack Obama's government is running up larger deficits in
a MONTH than the government posted in a YEAR just a few years
ago.

Meanwhile in Congress, according to the Washington Times, "a
top Senate Democrat said his party can accept no more than $6
billion in domestic cuts."

$6 BILLION!!!!! What about the $223 BILLION deficit from
February alone!

+ + Showdown Coming by March 18

A crucial showdown will take place by March 18 in Congress
over the Continuing Resolution (CR). Democrats are threatening
to reject the House G.O.P. plan to cut $57 billion in spending
for the rest of this fiscal year. They say those cuts are too
much.

Meanwhile, union agitators, the White House and leftist leaders
like Michael Moore are creating a revolt IN FAVOR OF MORE
GOVERNMENT AND MORE SPENDING!

WE ARE ABOUT TO LOSE OUR COUNTRY!

If union agitators succeed in bullying governors
like Scott Walker and impose their statist agenda
at any price, we will lose our country.

If liberal statists in the Senate impose their
will on this Congress and continue runaway
spending, we will lose our country!

Dear Family Members and Friends:

Is this completely insane and out of control or what?

Have a great week.

Defense of Marriage and a response from Orrin Hatch

Here is the response from our excellent senator, Orrin Hatch, from our letter to him in regards to

the Defense of Marriage Act:

Subject: Correspondence from Senator Orrin Hatch
Date: Mon, 7 Mar 2011 11:59:46 -0500

March 7, 2011

Mr. David Udall
46 South 1025 East
Lindon, Utah 84042

Dear Mr. Udall:

Thank you for your letter supporting the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). It is good to hear from you.

In 1996, Congress overwhelming enacted the Defense of Marriage Act (P.L. 104-199). Under this law, a same-sex relationship considered a marriage in one state does not need to be treated as a marriage in another state. I strongly support this law as it preserves states’ rights to recognize same-sex marriage without imposing the will of other states. Specifically, Utah should not be subject to another state’s definition of marriage.

Advocates of same-sex marriage are challenging the constitutionality of the federal Defense of Marriage Act. As you know, President Barack Obama recently indicated that the Department of Justice will no longer defend in court the Defense of Marriage Act. I believe the President is wrong in this decision.

The Department of Justice has a duty to defend the constitutionality of any statute passed by Congress with reasonable argument, no matter the subject matter. A reasonable constitutional argument has been made for the Defense of Marriage Act, so it is a dereliction of duty for the Department of Justice not to defend this law. I will continue to urge the President and the Department of Justice to uphold their responsibility.

Again, thank you for your writing. I value your input.

Your Senator,

Orrin G. Hatch
United States Senator

Why Create a Conservative Cause blog?

March 5th, 2011:

Why did I create this blog entitled the: Conservative Cause?

I have formulated so many political opinions my entire life that it was high time that I created a blog to support the social and the fiscal conservative causes in the USA and the world. I started out at the young age of nine years old watching the Kennedy-Nixon debates in 1960. I was hooked, and I have been tracking politics ever since.

My father, E. Earl Udall, was a city manager and politically conservative, especially fiscally conservative. I do not believe that the cities he managed ever raised municipal taxes under his watch. My grand father, John H. Udall, was one of the early conservative Republican mayors of Phoenix, AZ. My Uncle Nicholas Udall was also the mayor of Phoenix in the 1950's. Nick Udall helped write the constitution for the city of Phoenix.

We also have other noted family members who are on the liberal side of the political spectrum who are quite renowned, both today and in years past. I am from the conservative side of the family and I am proud of it.

Every day I see things in the news about Obama and his cronies, liberal friends, and allies that bother me a lot. Just the other day I saw that Obama ordered the DOJ, Department of Justice, to stop defending DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act, in court. This Act was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1996.

Here is my email/letter to my congressman of which I also copied to my national Utah Senators, Senator Mike Lee and Senator Orrin Hatch:
“Dear Congressman Chaffetz,

We are outraged at the Obama administration's plan to not defend the DOMA Defense of Marriage Act, signed into law in 1996 by Pres. Bill Clinton. Obama has decided to abdicate his responsibility to uphold this law. As Newt G. said of recent, in so many words, that Obama is striking down a federal law all on his own- against the congress's wishes which is unconstitutional, since he has sworn under oath to uphold the federal laws. So as a conservative Republican, what is your plan to defend DOMA?

Note: This abdication by Obama has the far reaching effects to perhaps cause churches who oppose homosexual marriages to either get in line with gay marriages or go under as churches and shut down as a church. This abdication by Obama could eventually imperil freedom of religion in the USA since the federal government is now so involved with marriage in the USA, and gays will no doubt put pressure on churches to grant them a legal civil marriage. What do you think and what are your plans to head off Obama and the Justice Dept. and the gay community if in fact, you agree with me?

Sincerely,

Dave Udall and Laurel Udall”

Note to the reader: This is the beginning of my thoughts, opinions and political commentaries on this blog. I hope that I can persuade a few people here and there to the conservative side and I hope to inspire and strengthen my fellow conservatives in their own worthy resolutions to get our country back on a solid foundation on both the fiscal and social issues of our day.

You will find me always supporting the Constitution of the United States, and those conservative citizens who are fighting to uphold it across this great nation. And like Justice Scalia of the Supreme Court said in so many words: The constitution is not an evolving document, to be construed beyond the original intent of its creators, the founding fathers that attended and put input into the US constitution at the original convention. While many liberals today think that the Constitution is a living document that can be loosely interpreted and that many things with in it are out dated and should be discarded.

I also do not, nor will I ever support the ever growing concentration of power to the federal government and to Washington, DC, as many liberals, such as Harry Reid, former speaker Pelosi and Obama want to have happen.

You will also never find me supporting any form of socialism nor any form of communism nor any form of tyrannical rule through out the USA or world. You will instead always find me in support of the conservative cause for freedom, free enterprise, free speech, positive humanitarian efforts, family values and the private ownership of property.

*** Please note: I welcome and thank you for reading this blog and invite your comments.
